Beautiful Lake Parsons is a peaceful retreat for campers, a fun-filled beach for summer swimmers, and a sportsman's paradise for hunting and fishing. This year-round recreational area draws visitors from across the region.

Shelter Rentals
There are two shelter houses available for use. They are the Elks and Kiwanis shelters. You may reserve a shelter by calling 620-421-7030 (number for shelter reservation only.) There is a $50 deposit to get a key and when the key is returned, your deposit is refunded*. Shelter houses may be used for family gatherings, cookouts, etc. No bands as well as no camping are allowed at these shelters.

* Refund of deposit is based on the return on the key and condition of the facility post-rental.

Beach Area
Those looking for a relaxing afternoon can take advantage of the swimming area. Swim at your own risk as there is not a lifeguard on duty.

Campsites
Spend up to 12 days camping in our improved campsite area with RVs or traditional camping in tents. For Lake Parsons Camping information, please call 620-421-7000. Throughout the summer months, a camp host is on duty for the convenience of campers. There is a bath house at the lake as well.

Native Pine Forest
Another interesting aspect of the Parsons lake area is the extensive native pine forest at the north end of the Lake. This is a great natural habitat area for deer and other wildlife.

Hunting & Fishing at Lake Parsons
Lake Parsons is home to an abundance of fish and wildlife species. Hunters and fishermen must adhere to all Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism guidelines. In addition, Lake Parsons offers Walk-in Hunting Access (WIHA) for hunters throughout the seasons. For permit information please call 620-421-7000
